What began as a small gathering to celebrate Black women and their businesses has grown into one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year. The Black Beauty Block Party, created by Del The CEO, returned for its third year with more vendors, more attendees, and a powerful message: Black women are the blueprint.
Under the late-summer sun, the block party came alive with the sounds of music, the scent of soul food, and rows of Black-owned vendors offering everything from handmade candles to luxury beauty products.
Del launched the event to give Black women a space for self-expression while fostering connections with other Black entrepreneurs.
“I pride myself on my life being a love letter to Black women,” Del said. “Just always reminding them they are the one. They are everything. They’re whole. They have everything that they need.”
This year’s block party featured 25 vendors, but interest stretched far beyond that. Organizers say they received more than 200 vendor applications, highlighting the event’s rapid growth and community support.
“Next year, instead of 25 vendors, we’ll have 100 vendors,” Del said. “And we’ll keep expanding.”
Future events are expected to feature a larger marketplace, more interactive experiences, and additional opportunities to spotlight Black-owned businesses.
